HAGEDORN AUCTION POLICIES (Created 02/04/2007)

1) Hagedorn Auction adheres to all federal, state and local laws.
2) Hagedorn Auction being commissioned by the seller acts only as an agent between seller and buyer and therefore does not warranty any merchandise auctioned. Any warranties expressed or written are strictly between the seller and buyer. All merchandise is auctioned in “as is” condition and buyers are strongly encouraged to arrive early and inspect all merchandise prior to placing your bid. Your bid with a registered bid number is your purchase contract and all purchases must be paid in full the day of the auction before merchandise is removed from auction premises. Shoplifters and non-payers will be prosecuted.
3) Hagedorn Auction will not auction any illegal items or items not belonging to the individual contracting with Hagedorn Auction for the sale of said items.
4) Hagedorn Auction is not a licensed firearms dealer and does not solicit the consignment of firearms for auction. Therefore Hagedorn Auction will only auction privately owned firearms as part of an estate (living or deceased) in which other non-firearms personal property is also being disposed of. No individual firearms consignment shall be auctioned.
5) You must be 18 years of age to purchase a long gun and 21 years of age to purchase a handgun. It is illegal for anyone convicted of a felon or domestic violence to purchase a firearm.
6) Firearms purchased from an estate auctioned by Hagedorn Auction will only be released to Montana Residents. Firearms purchased by non-Montana residents shall be transferred by the estate owner to a licensed Montana firearms dealer for shipment to a licensed firearms dealer in the purchaser’s state of residence at the purchaser’s expense.
7) Firearms shall not be released to any purchasers appearing to be under the influence of alcohol or any other illegal substance.
8) An official state photo ID is required when registering for a bidder card.
9) Bidder’s names, addresses and phone numbers will be kept in Hagedorn Auction’s computer database to be accessessed at future auctions for the purpose of quick buyer check. Your personal information will be kept confidential and will never be “sold” or otherwise given out (unless required by law).
10) Cash or personal checks are accepted for payment at all auctions. Checks must be imprinted with buyer’s name and address. A purchaser whos check is returned to us by our bank for non-payment will be assessed a $25 bad check fee. Returned checks which are not paid for immediately will be turned over to the county attorney for collection and/or prosecution. All additional expenses incurred by Hagedorn Auction for collection of a returned check shall also be added to the amount for collection.
11) Hagedorn Auction reserves the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason. Anyone who appears intoxicated or under the influence or disruptive at any of our auctions will be asked to leave immediately.
